10 Nice and easily accessible tours

For those who love the beautiful nature here in Lofoten and not least for those who love to stand on a peak and enjoy the beautiful view.

Here you will find a list of some of our favorite peaks in Lofoten.

All times calculated for normally fit people at a calm, normal pace to the summit. Longer breaks are added.

Grading is based on the length of the trip and degree of difficulty on the terrain. Subjective: 1 (easy) to 6 (difficult). Tours with climbing are not rated and not on the list.

Remember that the weather changes quickly. Wear good shoes and bring a bag with extra clothes and possibly a lantern in the dark.

Stamsundrekka

Words cannot describe this wonderful trip which is reached straight up from Stamsund. Taken as a round. Park in Ringveien by the hiking trail. Start up towards Mannfallet and finish down the alpine trail.

Veggen

Skottinden

Svarttinden

A fantastic trip straight up about 100 meters from the convenience store in Gravermark. Lovely trip and magnificent view. Park at that store (outside opening hours).

Time: 3 hours. Rating: 3

Fløya

The view of Svolvær from the top is worth the whole trip. Perfect to take your lunch break here. Bring the Devil's Gate on the road.

Starting point: At the foot of Sherpatrappa. Large parking lot.

Time: 3 hours. Rating: 3

Ballstadheia / Nonstinden

fjelltoppen Nonstinden i Lofoten, Svolvær

Cuddle trip - taken as a round. Many nice viewpoints. Feel free to start with Nonstinden and then go round. Straight up from Kræmmervika in Ballstad.

Time: 2-3 hours. Rating: 2

Reinebringen

Straight up from the tunnel roof in Ramsvika - Reine. Park at exit E10 Reine. Go back along the road until you see the stairs. Sherpa stairs straight up. Amazing view. A classic.

Time: 1.5-2 hours. Rating: 2

Kinderegg

3 peaks in one trip: Blåtind + Jomfrutind + Tuva. Start at the Red Cross House in Svolvær. Enter dirt road. The sign at the bottom of the dirt road. Continue up the gorge until the path divides to the various peaks. Start with Blåtind - then the egg towards Jomfrutind and a quick trip to Tuva on the way back.

Time: 4 hours. Rating: 4

Stornappstind

Park at the snack bar by the ski lift. Clear path all the way. The view is a super prize. View to well-known peaks such as Mannen, Offersøykammen, Veggen and more. 360 degree view.

Time: 2-3 hours. Rating: 3

Matmora & Delpen

Straight up through the forest from Delp (5 min from Laukvik). Lovely view towards the green water in the fjord. Parking at the starting point for the trail. (Great trip on to Matmora).

Time: 1 - 1.5 hours. Rating: 2

Volandstind

Håtinden

Parking along the E10 at Lyngdalsvannet (new parking). Straight up through the forest to a flat lot. Here the path disappears, but well marked with blue dots all the way up. Follow the ridge up to the top. Beautiful 360 degree view.

Time: 3 hours. Rating: 3

Værøy

Håen - Completely adventurous view from this peak on Værøy. From the top you have a view of the whole of Måstadvika. The walk can be largely done on paved roads or taken as a shortcut up the grassy slopes to the top. From 438 m above sea level, all you have to do is enjoy. Adventurous view. A must when you are on Værøy. Tip: Also take the trip to vacated Måstad.

Time: 1.5 hours. Grading: 1

Skrova

Skrovafjellet. On an island outside Svolvær there is an easily accessible mountain peak with a great view of "paradise beaches". To get to Skrova, you take a ferry or speedboat from Svolvær. There are more opportunities every day. You can easily walk from the ferry dock to most of what the island has to offer, including Skrovatoppen. Note that it is stone clock if you go the "main path". It is also possible to go up from the beaches at the back.
